#YouthCast: World Refugee Day – Building Hope

On the occassion of World Refugee Day (20th June), Youth Board of Cyprus and the Cyprus Refugee Council with the support of the UNHCR Office in Cyprus, are organising a virtual discussion entitled “World Refugee Day: Building Hope” (Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Προσφύγων: Χτίζοντας την Ελπίδα), on Thursday 17th of June 2021, at 20:30.

The 5th episode of #YouthCast, will be an interesting discussion between young persons with refugee background that grew up and live in Cyprus. Dealing with the difficulties of their journey with optimism and strength, they speak about their new country, the happy and sad memories, shedding light to the interesting sides of the cypriot society. The aim of the discussion is to embrace the versatile character of the modern Cyprus and to highlight the difference that the adoption of effective integration policies can have on all of our lives.

At the live discussion, Zaharias Mazloum Axou (student at UCY), Britney Ade (student at UCY), Nicole Epua (student at UCY) and Rama Al habrat (high school student), will share their personal stories. The discussion will be facilitated by Etinosa Erevbenagie (student at UNIC/ co-founder of Generation for Change Cy).
