It has only been a few days since our World Refugee Day Street Festival 2022, and we are still feeling the energy and the excitement!!
We would like to THANK everyone who participated, refugees and locals from across the island, NGOS, UNHCR Cyprus and the Δήμος Λευκωσίας for placing the event under their auspices and our supporters and sponsors, the Australian High Commission, Cyprus, Alphamega Hypermarkets, Coca-Cola HBC Cyprus and KEO BEER.
Special thanks to Kiss FM (Cyprus) that kicked off the event with a live radio link, the Room for Hope and Ibrahim with his Djembe for their amazing performances, the food ventors that shared flavours from their home countries, and DJ Claudio for always bringing our favourite world music!
This year the event was possible with the co-funding the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund, under the context of the project Engage: Developing Inclusive Integration Paths for Migrant Women and co-organised by Emphasys Centre.
