This World Refugee Day, the Cyprus Refugee Council and UNHCR Cyprus together with Cloud 10 Music Agency, are organizing a virtual Music event to celebrate togetherness and inclusion. The event will be streamed online via YouTube on Sunday 20th of June 2021, from 6pm to 9pm, and featured on our Youtube Channel.
The event will feature selected audio recordings from refugees singing their favourite songs, song requests from refugees and some world music favourites by DJ Claudio.
How can I participate?
Send us an audio recording of you singing your favourite song, or an audio recording requesting the DJ to play your favourite song. The deadline to send the audio recording: Sunday 13th June 2021.
How can I record my song or request?
You can use any voice recorder app on your phone, or directly record an audio message into your WhatsApp/Viber.
- If you are sending us an audio recording of you singing a song: At the beginning of the recording, please state your first name, the country you are from and the title of the song and country of the song you will be singing. Feel free to use any musical instruments while singing, or work together with friends to create your recording. Maximum duration of each recording is 3 minutes!
- If you are sending us an audio recording of your request: At the beginning of the recording, please state your first name, the country you are from, the title of the song, country and name of the artist you would like us to play for you. Maximum duration of this recording is 45 seconds!

By submitting/sending us your audio recording you give permission to the organisers to use and include your recording in this event.
Please note: Due to the limited duration of the event, only selected audio recordings will be included. We will do our best to feature as many songs and requests as possible.
Avec leur propre voix: Célébrer la solidarité et l’inclusion à travers la musique #WithRefugees
Pour la Journée mondiale des réfugiés, le Conseil chypriote pour les réfugiés et HCR Chypre en collaboration avec Cloud 10 Music Agency, organisent un événement musical virtuel pour célébrer la solidarité et l’inclusion. L’événement sera diffusé en ligne via YouTube le dimanche 20 juin 2021, de 18h à 21h, et présenté sur notre chaîne Youtube.
L’événement présentera des enregistrements audio sélectionnés parmi les morceaux de réfugiés qui chantent leurs chansons préférées, des demandes de chansons choisies par les réfugiés et une sélection des musiques du monde préférées par DJ Claudio.
Comment puis-je participer?
Envoie-nous un enregistrement audio pendant que tu chantes ta chanson préférée, ou un enregistrement audio pour demander au DJ de jouer ta chanson préférée. Date limite pour envoyer ton enregistrement: 13 de Juin 2021.
Comment puis-je enregistrer ma chanson ou ma demande?
Tu peux utiliser n’importe quelle application d’enregistreur vocal sur ton téléphone, ou enregistrer directement un message audio sur ton WhatsApp/Viber.
- Si tu nous envoies un enregistrement audio pendant que tu chantes une chanson: s’il te plaît indique ton prénom, ton pays d’origine et le titre et le pays de la chanson que tu chanteras. N’hésite pas à utiliser n’importe quel instrument de musique en chantant ou à jouer avec des amis pour faire ton enregistrement. La durée maximale de chaque enregistrement est de 3 minutes!
