The Cyprus Refugee Council (CyRC) is organising  an event on “Asylum in Cyprus: Opportunities and Challenges” on the 23rd of May 2018 from 9am to 1pm, at the EU House in Nicosia. 

The event aims to provide an overview on the current state of affairs in regards to asylum in Cyprus, addressing both challenges and opportunities, as well as  introduce the work carried out by the Cyprus Refugee Council and its future goals. 

A  panel  with representatives from the Asylum Service, the Social Welfare Services, the UNHCR Cyprus, the Migrant Information Centre (MiHub) and CyRC will open up the discussion on the topic, followed by discussion with the audience. The working language of the event is Greek.  Refreshments will be provided.

Important Notice: There will be a security check at the EU House, therefore you are kindly requested to arrive half an hour earlier with your identity card (ID) with you. Note that no one can enter without an  identity card. There is also no parking available at the EU House premises. There are available parking spaces on the same road (200 meters further) and opposite the Ministry of the Interior.
